Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon
In 2005 IMG stepped in to take the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon to a whole level, then in turn brought Accenture in as title sponsor. This event powerhouse decided it was time to create an identity system for this event that could last for years. The brand we created is still used by the event today.
We started by creating an ominous silhouette of Alcatraz island with the guard's lighthouse beacon shining down on the San Francisco Bay. The original treatment was done in black with red accents for Accenture. We tied into the core of triathlons with icons specific to each part - Swim, Bike, Run.
Later we extended this logo system for the Escape to Alcatraz Triathlon Series, created by IMG as a worldwide feeder to this landmark event in San Francisco.
